The 904L/UNS N08904 wire mesh nickel alloy is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. Similar with other frequently used CrNi austenitic steel, the alloy 904L has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion. In addition to this, it is also readily to be fabricated and welded.

Usage

Stainless steel wire mesh is mainly used for screening and filtration under acidic and alkaline environmental conditions. Mainly used as a mud screen in the petroleum industry, a screen filter in the chemical fiber industry, and an acid washing screen in the electroplating industry.
